Life in the Southern United States, we just say the South, is definitely not what you see portrayed in movies or on TV. We aren't all sitting on our front porches in white rocking chairs and sipping our sugar sweetened sweet tea, although I do have a front porch with white rocking chairs waiting for a sweet tea sipper. I can only speak for what my experiences are and I can tell you we never sit out there. Why not? Well we are busy with everyday life, working and playing. Then in the winter we feel it's too cold for relaxing and we don't have actual seasons like places more north of here and in the summer the weather is so hot with a lot of humidity the rocking chairs on a porch is not as comfortable as the air conditioned house.
Humidity is definitely not something that can accurately be described with words, it's a wet dewy thin layer of water that settles onto everything every single night and rises just enough during the day to make you sweat just by standing outside. I mean you can actually see the moisture in the air like a light thin fog or tiny rain droplets that are suspended in the air. For those who aren't used to humidity, when they inhale it in I'm told it feels very heavy to them and it makes it hard for them to breathe. The same thing happened to me in the thin air of Denver, Colorado...beautiful place though.
My family and I have to been to all sorts of places, Hawaii, out West, up North, to Disney World in Orlanda a ton, but our favorite is the white sandy beaches of Destin, Florida.
Well, it's getting kinda late here, so I will finish my description in a few days. Good Night everyone!
